How to enable macros in Excel

What is MACRO ?

Macros are used for automate frequently-used tasks; many are created with VBA and are written by software developers. However, some macros pose a potential security risk. A person with malicious intent can introduce a destructive macro, in a document or file, which can spread a virus on your computer.

Macros are default disabled in Office 2010(Word 2010, Excel 2010, PowerPoint 2010, etc) for better security and protection. Enabling Macros is easy but Microsoft Office team has hidden it deeper inside Options.

Enabling Macro's in Microsoft Excel

There are few steps to enable macro's in excel.

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Access Options.
  2. Click Trust Center, click Trust Center Settings, and then click Macro Settings.
  3. Click the options that you want. (Enable All Macro's).
